3:09Now PlayingCOVID-19 positive cases in Tamil Nadu raises alarm since the number of COVID-19 positive cases has not gone below 1000. But authorities say, not to worry and claims the high numbers due to high testing. Chief Minister Edapadi K Palanisamy also stated that other than Chennai, the COVID-19 infection has been contained in other parts of the State and the problem with the Capital City is due to its large population. Chief Minister assured that these numbers only due to the high level of testing. CM EPS said that 13,000 tests are done every day in Tamilnadu and 4,000 in Chennai alone. The same explanation was given by Greater Chennai City Corporation Commissioner G Prakash. As per Government, special evacuation plan was initiated by which people from densely populated areas of Royapuram and Tondiarpet region of Chennai are being relocated to special camps for 7 days, provided with nutritious food to break the chain. But no word about Community spread, yet.
