3:10Now PlayingWith the health department of Karnataka changing standard operating procedures for those returning to the state for the third time, it has mandated that people from Maharashtra will now be put on 7 days institutional and 7 days home quarantine. In order to ensure people don’t violate home quarantine rules, the civic body Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike has constituted nearly 460 special teams comprising of booth level officers and home guards have set been set up at the entry and exit of every containment zone. In fact, the strict vigil has been kept on those especially coming from Maharashtra. Apart from visiting their homes at least twice a day, the teams have been constituted to keep an eye on that in-home quarantine. As a part of the containment zone plan, the civic body has also reached out resident welfare associations in the respective wards to inform violations and ensure anti-corona norms are being followed on the ground.
