2:11Now PlayingThe Karnataka government has revised its earlier order which made it mandatory for people returning from Maharashtra to observe a quarantine period of 21 days. The new norm was met with a lot of resistance as people deemed the rule arbitrary. The new revised guidelines require returnees from Maharashtra to now spend 7 days in an institutional and 7 days in home quarantine. The scaling down of the quarantine period from 21 has been decreased to 14 days in the new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by the Karnataka government. There has been an influx of people coming in from Maharashtra to the state causing concern among officials as it remains the worst-affected in the country.
