4:38Now PlayingA housing society named Vishwadeep Heights in Kandivali has made an isolation zone on the seventh floor of their building to house asymptomatic patients and those showing mild symptoms of Covid-19. The facility was started last week.
The members have covered the gym area of their building into the facility. Inside this facility are two beds equipped with oxygen cylinders, PPE kits, masks and sanitizer. Toilet arrangements are also provided
Till now, no person has been tested positive in the building. Building society members say they have made this as a precautionary care facility to house their residents in case they are not able to get affordable and convenient health care in government and private facilities
The total cost of this facility has come up to Rs.40,000
Residents of the building say that such facilities must be encouraged by housing societies.
Guardian minister Aslam Shaikh has suggested this to BMC that more housing societies should convert their community spaces into isolation centres. Watch!
