3:05Now PlayingThe Delhi Government has decided to reserve beds in nursing homes for COVID-19 patients as cases of the virus surge in the city. Moreover, hospitals and nursing homes with less than 50 beds in total will be declared COVID facilities. The fear of the national capital running out of hospital beds looms large, as over 70% COVID beds in private hospitals have already been occupied. This is another initiative of the Delhi Government to ensure there are enough COVID beds to meet the rising number of patients. The government has also reportedly issued notices to private hospitals telling them they need to dedicate more beds for COVID treatment.
