6:55Now PlayingAmid rising case of COVID-19 in the area, the Maharashtra government has decided to impose a complete lockdown in the Mira-Bhayandar area near Mumbai, from July 1 till the midnight of July 10. The restrictions being placed include curbing the movement of people and only allowing essential medical services to operate. The area has seen extreme case surge in the last few weeks, with the cases being reported crossing the 3,000 mark. A strict lockdown has also been imposed in the Thane area which is to be implemented from July 2 to July 12. The statewide lockdown was extended in Maharashtra by the government till July 31 on Monday.
