5:12Now PlayingThe Thootukudi custodial death case has sparked outrage for justice across the country, with many calling for harsh punishment against the cops who brutally assaulted shop owners Jeyaraj and his son Bennicks. As per the directives issued by the Madras High Court, the registered FIR against the accused has been altered to include murder charges against the accused. The CID team investigating the case has now arrested 4 major accused in the case, including Sub-Inspector Raghu Ganesh and Balakrishnan. The shopowner father-son duo were arrested earlier this month, by the Tuticorin police on the charges that they violated lockdown norms placed amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
