2:21Now PlayingThe GVK Group has been booked by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for scam and corruption on the allegation that it has siphoned off funds from the budget of the Mumbai International Airport. The irregularities as per investigation are well over Rs.300 crores with the number expected to rise as the probe continues. The charge sheet names, Venkata Krishna Reddy Gunupati, the chairman of the GVK Group of Companies and his son G V Sanjay Reddy, Managing Director of Mumbai International Airport Ltd among others for the discrepancy in funds. In 2006, the GVK Group was given the maintenance, upkeep and operation functions of the Mumbai airport.
