7:25Now PlayingMedical Negligence and apathy over mishandling of COVID-19 patients’ bodies have come to light yet again from Maharashtra, where a 67-year-old Coronavirus patient admitted in a hospital in Thane District was declared dead. However, 3 days after the family performed last rites, the hospital informed the family that the patient is still alive. Later, in the same evening, the family was told yet again via a text message, that the patient was dead due to lack of oxygen supply. Even the cops called them for further verification of the body.
State Health Minister Rajesh tope also took a dig at this appalling incident and ensured that no such negligence will occur in future.
