3:08Now PlayingChennai - AMMK worker Thandavamurthy who is also into real estate business is said to have a pending rivalry with DMK MLA Idhayavarman.On 11th July when Thandavamurthy was on his way in a car to visit the property, a complaint filed by Kumar who is Thandavamurthy’s associate claims that Idhayavarman’s father surrounded the car with a few other men and began to argue overlaying an illegal road strip.
The argument turned ugly apparently as both teams began attacking each other and allegedly the DMK MLA’s father Lakshmipathy open fired with a gun at the car. Two of Lakshmipathy’s men also said to have suffered slash wounds allegedly when attacked by Thandavamurthy’s men. Police have recovered one gun bullet shell from the area and arrested the MLA’s brother and nephew and finally the MLA too. Cases under various sections including Arms Act have been filed against Idhayavarman and his father.
Also, a person passing by called Srinivasan was injured by a stray bullet and has filed a complaint too. But shockingly cops claim that MLA has secured the person to prevent him from turning a witness against Idhayavarman. Police have filed 3 cases based on the complaints given Idhayavarman, Kumar and Srinivasan.
