Dr Sriram, District Surveillance Officer explains why he had to drive the tractor to deliver the body for final rites. He further adds that lower-level employees in the state though trained, continue to remain unaware and thus live in fear of the pandemic. Responsibility of the local administration and those maintaining burial grounds has been brought into question since the case has become public.
