3:51Now PlayingKalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KDMC) to start rapid antigen tests from next week. With over 7000 positive cases reported in the last two weeks alone, twin cities Kalyan and Dombivali has emerged as the new hotspot in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Now to ensure that more people are tested, Kalyan Dombivali corporation aims to acquire at least 16,000 rapid antigen kits in three phases
- First phase: 4,000 kits
- Second phase: 2,000 kits
- Third phase: 10,000 kits
Currently, KDMC collects only 900 swabs daily, which will now go to 1500 swabs per day with the help of antigen kits. This will give test results within half an hour and help in contact tracing of close contacts, isolation, etc.
