The family of the COVID-19 victim had been handed over the dead body covered in a PPE suit, but when the kin pulled down the suit to uncover the face before cremation, it was revealed that the body is of someone else.
The authorities are tight lift up on this mix up claiming that it was a case of human error. According to the family, the 60-year-old patient was taken to Amritsar after his death and was brought back to Hoshiarpur. Local cops are now investigating the matter thoroughly.
