2:28Now PlayingAssam Floods 2020 | Several districts in Assam continue to remain submerged, the death toll due to the floods has gone up to 110. More than 70 lakh people have been affected due to the impact of the floods. Golpara continues to remain the worst affected district in Assam with over 4.5 lakh people displaced.
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited the flood-affected regions- Madambari village, Mayong in Morigaon district and eve assured the people all kind of assistance which will be given to them.
The Kaziranga National Park is also hit massively because 85% of the park continues to remain submerged at this point and 113 animals have died and 140 animals have been rescued so far and 63 out of the 14o animals had drowned. Many other animals have been displaced due to the deluge.
