Onion farmers from Coimbatore allege that due to lockdown and e-pass crisis, they are facing severe trouble in finding manual labor to harvest onions on time.
Claim that 3000 acres are ready to be harvested and it should be down as State is facing intermittent rains.
The crop which is 45 days hold must be harvested within the next 15 days and need a minimum of 500 workers.
If no labor is made available soon, they claim that close to 2000 acres of produce will go waste an urge CM to look into it.
