YouTube Description
as posted by the channelVillupuram - Revenue officials were shocked to find pits dug on-road and tractors parked blocking the way to make sure that the burial of a 52-year-old man who died due to COVID-19 does not occur. The incident had happened at Meladayalam village when a man tried to bring a body to a burial site.
Villagers blocked one entry road using a tractor and another way by digging a pit and leaving garbage and large garbage bins on the road. The person died on Tuesday night and after 7 hours of delay, with no hope to persuade the villagers, officials moved the body to Periya Kainthakulam village and was buried.
This is the second incident that has occurred in the State where dignity has been denied to a person who died of COVID-19 infection. On Tuesday officials had faced extreme difficulty in burying the body of a nurse who passed away and was found to be COVID-19 positive.
