The death share in private hospitals is currently 23% which has increased from 15% in the last one month alone. There are 33 private hospitals treating COVID-19 patients currently.
Respective doctors from top most hospitals like Lilavati, Fortis, Raheja, Jaslok etc we’re present. One of the points that doctors highlighted was the late referral of patients from smaller to big private hospitals. Very soon, BMC is likely will shut COVID-19 admissions in smaller hospitals.
