The Ministry official said the recovery rate in India has reached over 75 per cent in the country and that the recovery number is more than 3.5 times that of active cases.
Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said for the first time active cases have reduced in the last 24 hours.
The ICMR DG who was also the part of briefing said in a week's time, the long pending sero-survey results will be out.
The government officials said India is in conversation with Moscow on lines of Sputnik-V COVID-19 vaccine, which was earlier launched by Russia.
