MK Stalin stated that Hindi does not promote the feeling of brotherhood because it is not possible for one language to be spoken by all in a country like India where different cultures prevail.
He stated that Hindi is spoken in certain states and it does not define the unity of India. He also added that the whole idea of unifying India by the Hindi language is causing more harm that promoting unity as it is not inclusive for all. He also took a jibe at Home Minister Amit Shah and stated that he should focus on saving lives and not saving Hindi.
