Bengaluru's civic body BBMP has cracked down on 36 hospitals and has now issued show-cause notices to these private hospitals. COVID patients in Bengaluru were suffering due to a shortage of ICU ventilator beds.
They had to wait for hours in order to find a ventilator bed and how people were losing their family members only because the government has not made arrangements for sufficient COVID-19 ICU ventilator beds.
The government and BBMP claimed that 50 percent of the beds in the private hospitals for the treatment of COVID patients had not been done and several hospitals were violating the norm.
