3:57Now PlayingTally shows that 1.62 lakh test samples shown higher on State Health bulletin.
DMK MP Trichy Siva had sought details over the number of State-wise sample tests done for the months of March, April, May, and June 2020 from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The reply showed that below a number of tests were done in Tamilnadu,
March - 1,875
April - 85,848
May - 3,54,201
June - 5,66,558
Total COVID19 tests done in Tamilnadu came up to 10,08,482.
Whereas the Media Bulletin for 30th June 2020 released by the Tamilnadu government showed that 11,70,683.
The difference came up to a staggering 1,62,201.
Several questions are now being raised over the Health Bulletin released by the State government.
For unknown reasons State has still not begun to give a breakup of 'number of samples tested' for each District.
The allegedly bloated 'test sample data' is expected to affect the infection ratio which is calculated by dividing the number of samples tested with number of postive samples.
Back in June 2020, State government ended up in embarrassment after it was exposed that death count in the Medical Bulletin was inaccurate by a great margin.
