Feroze Azeez also simplifies as to which is cheaper amongst the two.
The Direct Plan is one where you invest directly through the Asset Management Company, whereas, in a regular plan, one invests via an intermediary. According to Feroze Azeez, most people should choose regular plans option, but they should be wise while choosing their advisors. One must only go for direct plans if they are confident and have done their research about as to what 5-8 mutual funds they will pick.
