3:13Now PlayingMembers of the Bheem Army and All India Students Association (AISA) were detained after they assembled at India Gate to protest over death of a 20-year-old woman after she was gang-raped and tortured in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras.
The Delhi Police said no permission has been given for gathering and protest as section 144 was implemented at India Gate.
The Uttar Pradesh government today constituted a three-member special investigation team (SIT) to probe into Hathras gangrape case. The SIT has been asked to submit its report within seven days.
The woman died in Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital yesterday morning. According to Safdarjung Hospital, she had suffered multiple fractures, paralysis.
