Mirror Now’s Alok Singh speaks exclusively to relatives of the victim who were present at the cremation. Both the individuals claim that they were forcibly taken to the cremation centre. Victim’s brother, in fact, stated, ‘police performed the last rites themselves & that the cops didn't take the family's consent’.
Mirror Now discusses this awful incident from panellists from different fields. Senior Journalist Sharat Pradhan says, ‘The administration has compounded its crime by disallowing the family from performing the last rites. There seems to be an obvious suspicion that they were out to conceal some evidence’.
Whereas, on counter to the allegations, Uttar Pradesh’s BJP Neta OP Mishra says, ‘False propaganda has been put on social media. The cremation was done in presence of the family and the Hathras administration’.
