4:01Now PlayingThe city which has been reporting a shortage of ICU beds for a long time saw 150 ICU beds were totally out of the loop from smaller nursing homes. It has issued notices to 22 nursing homes including St George for not updating the dashboard with info on vacant beds.
Out of this, 21 are smaller nursing homes who were just given permission recently to operate as COVID centres. Together they have 400 and 150 ICU beds and were not updating the dashboard for days saying it’s vacant or occupied.
Notices have been issued to nursing like Andheri’s BSES Hospital, Guru Nanak Hospital, Balaji Hospital, Apex Hospital and Zenith Hospital etc. BMC has appointed six staffers (two per shift) to monitor every admission & discharge in these nursing homes.
