2:54Now PlayingSupreme Court has made a strong exception against the affidavit that was filed by the Central government in a case related to the media. The affidavit was related to the communalising of the Tablighi Jamaat incident.
The top court has stated that the affidavit filed earlier was extremely offensive and brazen. The SC has also demanded the government to showcase instances of bad reporting and also present what action was taken by them in those instances.
This is the second instance where we see the SC take expectation against an authority to take requisite action against anybody, not in alliance with the nation’s laws. The first was the Sudarshan media case and the second is this. The SC has commented on the affidavit stating that it doesn’t answer questions of the petitioners and therefore a new one is required.
