1:59Now PlayingToday, fossil fuel prices have risen again in India. Motorists in Mumbai will pay Rs 93.20 a litre for petrol and Rs 83.67 a litre for diesel with the new price rise. For both fuels in the area, this is a new all-time high.
On Thursday, Delhi's petrol and diesel prices hit new all-time highs with oil marketing companies (OMCs) rising pump prices by 35 paise per litre. Today, petrol per litre costs about 86.65, while diesel prices in the national capital are up by 35 paise a litre, selling at about 76.83 a litre. Earlier, petrol and diesel prices were Rs.86.30 and Rs.76.48, prevailing since January 27 in the national capital.
The last few rises in oil and diesel pump prices have brought them to record levels in all major metro cities and towns across the country.
