Apart from Maharashtra, seven other states have now reported a surge in the number of COVID cases. Rajesh Bhushan, the health secretary states that the active cases are only close to 1.34% in the country as of now. Karnataka has now made COVID test mandatory for passengers coming in from Maharashtra, amidst the surge of cases in Maharashtra.
