7:48Now PlayingIn connection with the toolkit case, Delhi court on Tuesday granted bail to climate activist Disha Ravi. Judge Dharmender Rana granted Disha relief from additional sessions on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh and two assurances of the same sum.
On Monday, after the police requested five-day custody to face her in the toolkit case with co-accused Nikita Jacob and Shantanu Muluk, she was ordered to one-day police custody by a magisterial court. The court further stressed that the case included charges of a "vituperous campaign" to spread hate and disaffection to disturb peace and tranquilly in order to undermine the sovereignty, dignity and security of India, and that the investigating authority must be given equal time and opportunity to reach the truth through custodial investigation and confrontation within the scope of law.
