13:40Now PlayingThe Central government has now made some grave observations as far as the COVID-19 situation in India is concerned. Close to 81,000 cases were recorded on Saturday in a day and it was the single-day highest spike of 2021. The maximum number of COVID cases are being contributed by 11 states in the country, and while Karnataka is imposing new guidelines, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has not completely ruled out the possibility of a complete lockdown in the state of Maharashtra. These observations were made at a high-level review meeting held yesterday by the Cabinet secretary. The Central government has also suggested a 5-pronged strategy to deal with this situation.
