3:20Now PlayingThe Delhi High Court has asked the Centre why it had not banned the oxygen supply to critical industries immediately since there was a shortage. The court's main focus was to discuss oxygen availability and supply in the National Capital. Earlier the court was appreciative of the idea that the Centre is banning the industrial use of oxygen but asked why on April 22 and not immediately. The court asked if the industrial use of oxygen is more important than people's lives. The Centre on Sunday announced that supply of oxygen for industrial purposes will be prohibited from April 22 but nine industries including pharmaceutical, nuclear energy facilities, food and water purification and oxygen cylinder manufacturers were exempted from the prohibition.
