The politics over the management of the COVID crisis in the country is once again resurfacing and while the cases in the state of Uttar Pradesh are touching the 50,000 marks, the health infra facilities currently available in the state are ringing alarms for the state government. Has the centralised plan of the UP government failed? Sudhir Mishra, Resident Editor of NBT gives a sense of the on-ground situation. He adds that the current COVID beds which are equipped with oxygen ventilators are less than 5,000 and while the active case count is over 50,000. Watch.
