Who is responsible for floating dead bodies in the rivers? | The Urban Debate

In today's episode of The Urban Debate, Tanvi Shukla discusses the increasing numbers of floating dead bodies emerging at the banks of river Ganga and Yamuna in various cities. Where are these bodies coming from and who is dumping them in the rivers instead of cremating these dead bodies? Is this going to be another outbreak? And the most important question, is does this practice spreads any kind of infections among mankind? The anchor discusses all the above questions and possibilities in the show. Talking about the same Amit Puri, spokesperson, UP BJP, says, "As per the article 21, it gives all the citizen dignity of life and it extends to dignity in death. Last rites in the rivers have to be stopped and a post-mortem has to be conducted of these bodies." Discussing other possibilities of dumping dead bodies in rivers, AL Banerjee, Former DGP, UP, says, "Maybe the bodies are dumped in the rivers as there is a paucity of wood due to a spike in Covid related deaths.
