India has reported 62,480 new covid cases and 1,587 deaths in the last 24 hours, which indicates a 30% decline in the average daily new cases over the last week. Further on, a consistent increase in recovery rate since 3rd May has also been reported which currently stands at 96%. There are currently 7.98 Lakh active cases in India and an 85% decline since the second wave. Joint Health Secretary Lav Aggarwal briefs on covid appropriate norms and next steps to maintain the decreasing cases by practising appropriate protocols and getting vaccinated.
