2:37Now PlayingOfficials said the Delimitation Commission, led by Justice (retd) Ranjana Prakash Desai, will arrive in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday for a four-day visit to interact with political leaders and civil society groups, among others, in order to gather first-hand inputs for carving out new constituencies in the state.
On July 6, the panel will meet with political party leaders in Srinagar, then on July 8, in Jammu. The commission's visit comes less than a fortnight after Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted a high-level gathering of eight political parties from Jammu and Kashmir in Delhi on June 24. Listen in!
