The Chief Minister's Office (CMO) gave this information on Wednesday. It said that fulfilling another important promise, the Chief Minister has announced a loan waiver of up to Rs 590 crore for 2.85 lakh laborers and landless farmers under the agriculture loan waiver scheme. Under this, the checks will be issued on August 20 at the state level function. Punjab government had earlier announced the waiver worth Rs 4,624 crore have been waived of 5.64 lakh farmers under the scheme .
