3:03Now PlayingA joint statement has now been issued by the Assam and Mizoram governments over the prevailing border row. The state governments have now agreed to take forward the negotiations offered by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Tensions however continue to prevail in the border area, wherein 6 Police personnel of Assam were killed along with a civilian. Both the states will now indulge in dialogue and decide on a lasting solution to the border dispute. This comes days after Mizoram Governor met with the Central government in Delhi, following which Assam BJP leaders also met the Central government.
