The report says that 46% of breakthrough cases in India are from Kerala, despite 100% vaccination in the state. Breakthrough infections take place after vaccination. Over 80,000 breakthrough cases have been reported post-second dose of vaccine, out of which more than 40,000 cases have been reported in Kerala. The rise in the increasing number of breakthrough infections has become a concern for the Health Ministry.
