2:59As the rift between Congress widens, Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Bhagel and the state’s health minister TS Singh Deo reached Delhi yesterday, to discuss the issue with Rahul Gandhi at his residence. Now, they are set to meet KC Venugopal, the party general secretary in the national capital. The rift is being linked to the earlier proposed two-and-a-half-year-power sharing formula for the chief minister’s post in the state. The rift over sharing the post on a rotational basis has been in talks ever since the Congress came in power in December 2018. At that time, Mr Baghel and his two senior cabinet colleagues TS Singh Deo and Tamradhwaj Sahu were the leading contenders for the Chief Minister post.
