In the last 24 hours, 31,000 fresh Covid cases has been registered and 162 people lost their lives. It has been 4 months since the positivity rate of Covid cases hasn't lowered down from 10%. As of today, the positivity rate is 18% which has become a major concern for both the state government and the health ministry. We discuss about what caused the dramatic rise in the Covid cases from 19,000 to approximately 30,000 cases per day. During the festival of Onam, netizens could be seen celebrating and not taking appropriate Covid measures.
