Recently, Bharat Kisan Union (BKU) Leader Rakesh Tikait fueled a controversy by saying that a big Hindu leader will be killed before the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections in 2022. The leader said this during his address at a Kisan Mahapanchayat in Haryana's Sirsa. Speaking on the three farm laws and attacking the centre, Tikait said that the Modi government wants to use the Farmers' protests to fan out communal tensions in the nation. Earlier on Saturday, the Karnal Police lathi-charged a group of farmer protesters after SDM's order to break their head, at least 10 people suffered injuries in that incident.
