The total price has shot up by Rs 190 since January this year, making it unaffordable for many people. The cooking gas cylinders have spiked by Rs 25 per cylinder effective today onwards. Compared to prices in 2020, the price hike has shot up to Rs 280 from June onwards. The supposed reason behind this unreasonable spike is that the government has stopped providing subsidy payouts to consumers.
