11:57Now PlayingThe schools in India shut down in March 2020, owing to the COVID pandemic. After 1.5 years, the schools are reopening today in 7 states today. The Centre has pressed for the vaccination of the staff and teachers and has urged the schools to follow COVID appropriate behaviour in order to contain the spread of the virus. The state governments have appealed to the schools to follow the social distancing norms during the offline classes. The schools are now being opened in a phased manner, and the classes will be held at staggered timings. It is also being reported that there will be a cap on seating and the online classes will also continue.
