They left behind a stockpile of expensive weaponry and military equipment, which has been now claimed by the Taliban. According to General Kenneth F. McKenzie Jr., the US forces had to leave some military assets at the airport. The same included Counter-Rocket, Artillery, Mortar (C-RAM) missile defense systems that were deployed to protect the airport. These are the same missile systems that prevented an attack on the Kabul airport on Monday morning. Even though the General said that the leftover equipment has been demilitarised, and it requires a complex system to use them, the Taliban have still claimed them for use. Watch!
