In this regard, the Delhi Court has slammed the Delhi police as investigators failed to conduct a proper probe in the case. Delhi court has also said that the police have made no real efforts to trace the real accused and proper eyewitnesses. To this the court has said, "when history will look back at the worst communal riots since partition in Delhi, it is the failure of investigating agency to conduct a proper investigation by using latest scientific methods will surely torment the sentinels of democracy,”.
