42:19Now PlayingOn the Urban Debate, with Tanvi Shukla, we discuss about the Delhi-riots case. In February, 2020, barbaric riots erupted in the national capital becoming the cause of registration of 700 cases, but the justice is yet to be served and it seems it is not going to be served in near future as it keeps getting delayed. 'In police riot cases, it's very difficult to get witnesses as riots take place publicly but no one wants to go to a police station. Shoddy investigation, infrastructure, prosecution, all these are responsible for delay', former IPS Yashovardhan Azad says. Another panelist, Ananya Bharadwaj, Senior Asst. Editor, The Print says, 'observations are similar in most of the cases registered. Eyewitnesses haven't been traced, technical evidence presented isn't very sound. Evidence to support allegations hasn't been put forth by agency.' Watch the entire debate to know more.
