The fate of this test series hangs in the balance as the BCCI announces that the match will be rescheduled and not forfeited in the early hours of this news. However, the ECB remains mum with no confirmation from their end on the rescheduling of the final test. Sources suggest that Indian cricket team player Shastri, along with 3 others, have been infected. The BCCI has also stated that the players' health and safety have been compromised, the reasoning for the cancellation of the match.
