Mayawati took to Twitter to announce the party's stand on the appointment of mafia and gangster candidates. In the tweet, BSP chief Mayawati also confirmed that Mukhtar Ansari has now been replaced by Bhim Rajbhar as a candidate in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh elections and will not contest on BSP's ticket. This comes ahead of the elections and the parties in Uttar Pradesh are now trying to regain control of the state from current Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
