5:54Now PlayingIn its ranking list 2021, NIRF ranked IIT Madras as the best institute in the country. IISc Bangalore has topped the university category, while Delhi Univerity’s Miranda House has ranked first in the College category. The ranking framework judges institutions under five broad generic groups of parameters of Teaching, Graduation Outcomes (GO), Outreach and Inclusivity (OI), Learning and Resources (TLR), Research and Professional Practice (RP), and Perception (PR). The list was released by the education minister Dharmendra Pradhan. He said, “Rankings are the measure of the quality and excellence of an institution. We must develop regional ranking frameworks and also work to ensure that our ranking framework emerges as a benchmark not only in the country but also globally, especially for the developing economies.”
