Reports suggest that 400+ cases have been recorded every day for the last 10 days. While Mumbai fights this catastrophe, the average active, positive cases tally stands at 4,010. In this spike ahead of Ganeshotsav, Mumbai last logged over five hundred cases on July 15th, which has caused worry. The Maharashtra Government had earlier suggested that festive celebrations this year be controlled and social distancing be practised as the state can not afford another lockdown. Experts have now also warned that lowering the guard cab prove to be costly.
